- 3-4 lemons
- 2-2.5 cups rock sugar
- 2-3 dried tangerine peels (decent size pieces)
Wash and slice lemons and tangerines.
Soak the dried peels for awhile.
In a pot, combine lemon slices, tangerine slices, sugar, and water.
Set the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for about 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Allow the flavours to meld and the liquid to thicken slightly.
Strain the syrup to remove fruit pieces, leaving a smooth liquid.
Let it cool before transferring to a sterilized jar.
Thermomix Instructions:
Wash the lemons thoroughly to remove any dirt or residue. Cut them into slices. Remove any seeds.
Soak the dried peels for awhile.
Place the lemon slices, 500g or rock sugar and the thin slices of tangerine peels in the bowl.
Set for 75 minutes at 90 degrees on reverse stir. Remove measuring cup for the last 15-20 minutes and set to Varoma.
